I’m Lucas Holter—an urban planner and visual artist with a background in economics, urban studies, finance, photography and studio art. Born in London, UK with Norwegian and Canadian heritage, I am currently completing a Master in Urban Planning at the Harvard Graduate School of Design.
As an urban planner, I am focused on housing, community, and economic development with an interest in developing creative solutions for improving housing opportunity for all through capital and design strategies that bridge disciplines and differences.
Photographically, I enjoy capturing new environments—natural, urban, human, animal—and view photography as a tool for storytelling and remembering. I have experience shooting portraits, events, press, studio, and sports photography; filming sport, theatrical, fine-art, and time-lapse film; and documentary videography. At college, I was a Photo Editor at the Yale Daily News, a visual editor for Kalliope (an arts publication), and social media director for the Yale Rugby Football Club.
