Fruit Shoot
This set of images was inspired by the incredible still-life photographer, Dina Belenko, who used water-based acrylic paint underwater to give the impression that the colour was flowing out of the props, such as fruit and vegetables. My images explored the use of lighting to create striking underwater compositions of fruit with both clear, metallic and firey backdrops. The first image uses acrylic to create an explosion of colour surrounding an already colourful strawberry. The whole production used macro extension tubes and one off-camera flashgun.
